HI, I'M RYVE
ABOUT ME
a filmmaker, theatre artist, and creative professional based in New York City. My work spans film, theatre, marketing, design, and arts management, allowing me to work both creatively and behind the scenes to bring ideas to life.

MY STORY
Ryve Obien is a filmmaker, theatre artist, and summa cum laude graduate of the CUNY Hunter College MUSE program, where he graduated as salutatorian. With aspirations of directing and a deep love for theatre, his creative journey began at St. John’s Prep High School with the eco-musical Sempreverde: Evergreen. He later gained valuable experience through an internship at the Apollo Theater, developing skills across directing, stage management, set design, acting, singing, and costume design.
Over the years, Ryve has performed and contributed to showcases, concerts, musical theatre productions, plays, and live events. During the pandemic, he produced a video for the Class of 2020 that aired on FOX5 as part of the NY at Our Bestspecial. While at university, he continued developing his craft across theatre and film and, while studying abroad in London, starred as Shane Gray in Camp Rock: The Musical.
Today, Ryve continues to work across the creative and organizational sides of the arts. He is currently in pre-production on his debut film while serving as Marketing & Media Manager for Incanto Productions and the Global EduLanguage Foundation. In this role, he contributes to marketing, design, event production, arts management, and the development of new cultural initiatives. His current work includes helping produce Incanto Productions’ new edu-musical, Pinocchio Pop, as well as supporting Global EduLanguage Foundation’s Generations of Voices initiative, which brings together international arts and education programming and features the renowned children’s choir Il Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano, known for Zecchino d’Oro. He also contributes to collaborative projects and events including TEDx Yorkville.
