About Me.
Ryve Obien is a 24-year-old filmmaker, theater artist and a salutatorian and summa cum laude graduate of the CUNY Hunter College MUSE program, aspiring to be a director with a deep love for theater. His journey began at St. John’s Prep High School with the eco-musical Sempreverde: Evergreen. He gained valuable experience during his time in the Apollo Theater internship, mastering skills in directing, stage management, set design, acting, singing, and costume design. Ryve’s portfolio includes starring roles and contributions to countless events including showcases, concerts, musical theater, and plays. During the pandemic, he produced a video for the Class of 2020, aired on FOX5 as part of the “NY at Our Best” special. While in university, he actively honed his craft in theater and film and also starred as Shane Grey in Camp Rock: The Musical while studying abroad in London. Currently, Ryve is in preproduction for his debut film while working as the Marketing & Media Manager for Incanto Productions and the Global EduLanguage Foundation, contributing to their events and productions and collaborating on projects such as TEDx Yorkville.
